A Video showing how to shape the Dogwood flowers using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit can find it > https://youtu.be/gI8RqHAt3vE.

  • Create a 5 ½ x 5 ½ inch top-fold card base from heavy white cardstock. Cut two base layers measuring 5 ¼ x 5 ¼ inch from blue cardstock. One will be adhered to the front of the card and reserve the second piece. Cut the map designer paper from the Young At Heart Paper Collection at 5 in. x 5 in. Die cut the airplane and three additional images from blue cardstock. Adhere the layers of the airplane together for added strength using Designer Dries clear adhesive. Adhere You Got Me At Yellow Prills in the center using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive. Shape the leaves and adhere around the base of the circle. Adhere the flowers with a glue gun.

Create a 51/2 x 5 1/2 top fold card from heavy white cardstock. Cut the base layer from purple cardstock, measuring 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches. Cut a 5 1/2 x 3 inch piece of designer paper using Blushing Rose Paper Collection. Die cut the right side using Fleur Border Basics Die. Cut watercolor paper at 5 x 5 inches and watercolor loose leaves in the background using Permanent Sap Green, Windsor Lemon and Ultramarine Blue watered down to a thin watery mixture. Allow to dry. Stamp flowers from the Sun Kissed Fleur Cling Stamp onto Art Foam Paper using Stazon Ink - Jet Black. Die cut with the coordinating die. Sponge edges with Colorbox Liquid Chalk Wisteria and peony. Apply the petals to a hot iron for a few seconds, fold the petals and twist tightly. Allow to cool. Open and shape slightly with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Allow to fully dry. Apply Crackle paste to a few of the other petals and sprinkle with Crystal Clear. Set aside to dry.

Stamp the Classic Leaf Stamp onto Art Foam Paper using Olive Grove Memento Ink. Color the leaves with Copic Markers with YG61, YG63 and YG67. Heartfelt Creations - You're A Classic

Hello friends!

It's inspiration Wednesday and we are featuring the Young at Heart Collection from Heartfelt Creations!  I live in the country and love seeing rusty old trucks in my area.   It reminds me of the country roots and of all the hard working people that make up the area.    I also wanted to do a slider card but needed to secure the truck in the front and back to avoid having the truck spin!  LOL    I hope you like my creation.

Navy cardstock,  dark brown cardstock, Distress Tool, Heather Flower Soft, mini-dots, X-Press It, Trimmer, mini mister, Black colored pencil, sewing machine, four nickels, Detail Black embossing powder, Versamark, Heat Tool, Copic Alcohol Ink Markers - (Truck- B00, B21, B23, B29,YR20, YR23, YR26, E15, Sepia 0.03 multiliner, Greens/flowers -YG11, YG61, YG63, YG65, Tires/Crome - C0, C1, C3, C5, C7, Windows - B00, C0.

Create a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch card base.  Cut a  navy base layer at 5 1/4 x 5 1/4.  Cut two designer layers from the Simply Classic paper collection. Sew white stitching around the edges of the designer paper that will be on top.  my tension is off on the sewing and I left it that ay to add to the rustic , distress look.  Distress the edges.

The rusted, well loved truck was cut from the Simply Classic Cling Stamp Set using Tuxedo Black  Memento Dye Ink.  I used X-Press It but you can use any white Copic compatible paper of your choice.  I used the following color combo (Truck- B00, B21, B23, B29,YR20, YR23, YR26, E15, Sepia 0.03 multiliner, Greens/flowers - YG11, YG61, YG63, YG65, Tires/Crome - C0, C1, C3, C5, C7, Windows - B00, C0).  Die cut the truck with the coordinating die.  Cut 2 additional images from dark cardstock.  Adhere with Designer Dries Clear Adhesive for strength.  Adhere 3D Crystal Lacquer to the windows and allow to dry.   Apply flower soft to the bed of the truck.

The slider path can be cut with a slider die, free hand, or with Fleur Border Basic die.  I used the Fleur Border Basics.   I positioned  the die at a diagonal angle and only sandwiched the portion of the die I wanted to cut.   The area that I did not want to cut extended off the edge of the cutting plates.  I positioned it again to allow a 1/2 inch path and repeated the process.   I drew some rocks around the path with a black Sharpie and shaded them with a black colored pencil.  I extended the road on the adjacent page as shown.

Adhere the blue layer and plain designer paper on the front of the card base.  Apply double dimensional foam circles to the layer with the slider path to the top of the designer paper on the left.  Make sure to not put the dots too close to the slider path - you will want plenty of room for the sider to move.  Adhere two stacked mini dots in between two nickels.  Adhere to the back portion of the truck.  Add another two stacked mini dots in between two nickels and attach to the front part of the truck.  Applying the sliding coins to the front and back of the truck will allow it to slide but not spin in a 360 degrees.   This will just allow it to move along the path you created.    Adhere flower soft along the edges of the road.

Stamp, color and die cut  five dogwood flowers from the Flowering Dogwood Set.  Sponge the center with Lime Pastel Chalk Ink and sponge the tips with Berrylicious Ink.   Stamp and die cut the green leaves from the Simply Classic Set. Color with Copic YG61, YG63 and YG65.  Shape the flowers and  and leaves with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.  Adhere the stamen with Dries Clear Adhesive.  Stamp and die cut the branches from  the Winter's Eve Collection (Window Box Fillers).   I trimmed the branches and used them for the dogwood tree branches.  Adhere the leaves, branches and flowers  at the bottom of the card.

The word "JOURNEY" was stamped  with Versamark  and Detail Black embossing powder.  Heat set.  The sentiment was die cut with the Simply classic Die.  Adhere sentiment to the upper right corner of the card.    And for the final touch, adhere a small wooden heart to the corner.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you check out all the new release products at Heartfelt Creations!

Other Products
Corner rounder, X-Press It Blending Cardstock, paper trimmer, mounting tape, black cardstock, Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Versamark Ink, Detail Black Embossing Powder, heat tool, mini dots, Silver Ice Stickles, Copic Alcohol Ink Markers (Bike - C3, C5, R24, Flowers -  YG67, G99,  RV10, RV23, Vase - B21, B23, B4, B26, B29)

Instructions
Create a top fold card by cutting heavy white cardstock measuring  4in. x 11 inches. Score and fold at 5 1/2 inches.   Cut the designer paper from the Young At Heart Paper Collection  at 3 3/4 in. x 5 1/4 inches.   Use a corner rounder on the corners and sponge with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Adhere to the card base with double sided tape for extra strength.

Stamp the Young At Heart bike image 2 times with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on X-Press It Blending Cardstock.   Color  the  focal image with Copic Alcohol Ink Markers with the following color combo -  (Bike - C3, C5, R24, Flowers - YG67, G99,  RV10, RV23, Vase - B21, B23, B4, B26, B29).  Color the big wheel only on the second image.

Die cut the images with the coordinating die and cut 3-4 additional images from black cardstock.  Cut the large wheel away from the black cardstock images and from the  second white image (the one with only the  large wheel colored).    Layer a black large wheel on top of the wheel on the focal image. (That is the image you colored completely).  A mini dot at the center of the wheel can be placed between each black layer.  You can add 3 or 4 layers to the large wheel according to your preference.  You will have one white bike image that has only the wheel colored.  Cut the large wheel away from the image and adhere it to the top of the black cardstock.   This will give the large wheel a lot of dimension and draw the eye to the bike.  Apply Silver Ice Stickles sparingly as shown in the picture. Set aside to dry.

Stamp the "Journey" image with Versamark Ink and apply Detail Black Embossing Powder.   Heat set and allow to cool.   Die cut with the coordinating die set.  I did not add the extra layers of cardstock to the sign because I wanted the bicycle to "POP".    the bicycle and sign can now be adhered to the card.   For a final touch, add a drop of Nuvo Ebony Crystal Drops to the center of each wheel.

Your tutorial made me think I can do this!
Big congratulations to you!   It feels great to celebrate our Heartfelt Creations crafting community!    I am so grateful for being voted in to be a part of the design team that I just wanted to "pass it on".    Enjoy!   Marie
